Each
of us have the resources inside ourselves to accomplish our desires
in life. These resources simply need to be accessed, placed in the
appropriate context and then directed to achieve an outcome. In
effect, our current personal beliefs and behaviors are a result
of what in hypnosis is referred to as a post hypnotic suggestion.
A post hypnotic suggestion is a suggestion
that relies on a trigger or stimulus to activate the mind in performing
the behavior suggested - often times well after the time the suggestion
was given. Most of us have heard of the post hypnotic suggestion
"When I snap my fingers, you will cluck like a chicken".
While hypnotists are quite effective in giving and having others
carry out their suggestions, Life and our experiences are the greatest
hypnotists. For example there is no difference to the above referenced
chicken suggestion to that of "If someone shows me their middle
finger, then I must get angry". Contrary to common beliefs,
hypnosis is a very natural state of mind and is achieved at a minimum
of twice a day. Hypnosis is simply a state of focused attention,
and life offers plenty of opportunities to focus attention.
Hypnosis is also the vehicle in which we open up communication with
the unconscious portions of our minds - where all learning, behavior,
and change takes place. If these things were solely a conscious
decision we would be 100% successful in making radical changes in
behavior by simply willing them to be so.
The use of hypnosis in a therapeutic
environment simply uses the same language to achieve states of consciousness
that the brain was naturally successful in using to program itself
- with one major difference. The trance state created now
is with a purposeful and directed outcome in mind. This makes hypnosis
an effective and useful tool to overcome limitations in our
growth and opens us up to maximize potential.
Our Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy
program particularly addresses the versatility of hypnosis - as
we teach you how to successfully use it in normal conversation to
the deepest levels of trance. This versatility of use can eliminate
the fears associated with hypnosis. Now, more people can reap the
rewards of the power that is within them without the need to be
unconscious or feel out of control during the process.
