Reiki Levels or Degrees

First Degree Reiki Class (Level I)
The first degree class is taught by a Reiki Master.

The class consists of:
Attunement to energy
Sharing the definition/description of the Usui System of Reiki Natural Healing
Sharing the History
Teaching the treatment form
a. Self treatment (full treatment)
b. Treatment of others (full treatment)
c. Treatment of injury

Practice
Questions, answers, and sharing

Second Degree Reiki Class (Level II)
The Second Degree class is offered to students who have taken the first degree class, and feel drawn to take this next step.

The class consists of:
A session to introduce and teach the students the three symbols
Attunement to Reiki Symbols
Teaching the use of the three symbols
A time for practice
Questions and sharing

It is supportive of the students if the class is clear and simple.

Reiki Master (Teacher)
A Reiki Master has received the training and initiation to teach first and second degree classes in the Usui System of Reiki Healing. The training, preparation and initiation as a Reiki Master have come from a Reiki Master who has extensive living and teaching experience as a Master in the Usui System of Reiki Healing.

The Reiki Master has been called to continue the study of Reiki through the path of mastery. The development of the Master's practice occurs through the teaching of the first and second degree classes and through the public declaration of the practice.

A Reiki Master who practices the Usui System of Reiki Healing has completed the steps of commitment outlined in the form. These include payment of the $10,000 US fee, being initiated by a Master in the direct spiritual lineage, using the daily living principles as a moral guide, and recognizing the life-long relationship with Reiki and with the initiating Master.

The initiating Master is a practicing Reiki Master with experience teaching the Usui System of Reiki Healing. The Master feels the call and has the willingness to enter into this relationship of initiator, mentor, and teacher. The initiating Master and student must realize that this is a lifelong, committed relationship within the Usui System.

Michael Bennett is Reiki Master, and a master practitioner and trainer of NLP and Hypnotherapy, licensed and certified through the Society of NLP. He operates a school for teaching these disciplines to health professionals and persons interested in improving the quality of their lives.
